At Ricca whizz-kids academy's second school course, classes are divided according to individual proficiency (skill level), not age. Lessons are not day care like after-school care or nursery schools, but are " second school " lessons based on the curriculum of elementary schools and kindergartens, allowing for bilingual education through double schooling. Teachers discuss the twice-yearly Check Test ( Step up Test ) and daily behavior, and students are divided into a total of seven classes . (Recommended days of the week may vary depending on the class.)
Double Schooling
Kindergartens, nurseries, and elementary schools are Japanese-speaking, while Ricca is an English-speaking environment .
At an age when the brain is still developing, children can become truly bilingual by being in an environment where they can learn both Japanese and English.
Becoming familiar with English, the universal language, from an early age can greatly expand your future possibilities. As a second school in English, Ricca aims to improve communication skills to think and express in English, and to make English a part of everyday life. (Double schooling) (STEAM education)
Improvement of all four skills
We aim to improve all four skills of "Speaking," "Hearing (Listening)," "Reading," and "Writing" according to the student's stage of development .
Level Check
We regularly check students' levels and assign them to classes and groups that are suited to them, aiming to improve their level in the most optimal way. Depending on the activity , we may further group them by age. We will change our approach to suit each student's level, speed, and personality as much as possible, and provide thorough support that only a small class size can provide.
Collaboration with families
We will have interviews at least twice a year to share information about your child's progress at the academy, their level of proficiency, strengths and weaknesses, as well as their progress at home, their health, interests and development , and to clarify any future challenges.
Communication skills
We aim to improve communication skills by focusing on presentations, discussions, and relationships with friends so that you can express your opinions without hesitation.
